Monday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the United States, a well-deserved federal holiday in honor of the great civil rights leader.
But it was also more than that.
Monday was the 316th birthday of one of America’s most important founders, Benjamin Franklin: a world-renowned scientist and inventor, a respected statesperson and diplomat, and a successful small business owner.
But Monday was also more than Benjamin Franklin’s 316th birthday.
That’s because, in addition to all the above, Monday was the official launch of America’s newest political party, named after Benjamin Franklin, the Benjamin Franklin Party.
The official launch of the Benjamin Franklin Party (BFP) was hosted on Zoom at 3 PM EST by the BFP team, with registered attendees from across the United States.
In addition to the official party launch itself, topics covered at the event included the Benjamin Franklin Party’s Mission, Vision, and Values, a preview of the road ahead, and Q&A.
The Benjamin Franklin Party launch is now successfully behind us, so it is time to move on to the mentioned road ahead. This blog/newsletter will be postcards from that road.
We hope you’ll join and support us on the journey. We believe the destination – a better America for current and future generations – will be a trip well worth taking!
Yours in republic keeping,
James Carroll
