The Membership Certificate is earned by registering as a Benjamin Franklin Party member in your state’s voter registration.
Friend of Ben Certificates are earned by following the Benjamin Franklin Party (@FranklinPartyUS) on social media.
Yearly Contribution Certificates are earned by volunteering and donating to the Benjamin Franklin Party.

Donating and Volunteering
Yearly Contribution Certificates
Earn your yearly Contribution Certificates by donating and/or volunteering to the Benjamin Franklin Party. Contribution Certificates will automatically be sent to you after you log your volunteer hours with your volunteer coordinator and/or donate to us.
Yearly Contribution Certificate Tiers
- Black frame with tiers 1-12* for volunteer support and year-to-date financial support of the Benjamin Franklin Party (more here)
- Silver frame with tiers 1-12* for one-off financial donations (dollar ranges in Samples section)
- Gold frame with tiers 1-12* for automatic monthly financial donations (dollar ranges in Samples section). Because it is ongoing, Gold Certificate
members automatically get new gold certificates each January. - Blue frame with degrees I-XII (1-12) for additional months of volunteer work at the Franklin Tier level (explanation here)

**Black Frame Contribution Certificates
Volunteer Only
For each month of volunteer hours, a tier certificate is earned, building on the previous tier (example: five months with volunteer hours equals a Postmaster Tier certificate).
Multiple Donations Only
For each month a donation is made after the first month a donation is made, a certificate is earned for the total amount of money donated year-to-date (YTD).
Examples:

- Logan made a $20 donation (Civic Leader silver certificate) in March and a $35 donation (Poor Richard silver certificate) in July. For the combined $55 YTD Logan would also be awarded a Postmaster tier certificate once everything was totaled in early August.
- Akira set up a $10 monthly donation (Printer gold certificate) in February, and so will also be awarded a Civic Leader certificate for April ($30 YTD), a Poor Richard certificate for June ($50 YTD), and a Postmaster certificate for November ($100 YTD).
- Combinations of reoccurring (gold) and one-off (silver) donations work the same way.
Certificates are awarded based on YTD donations and number of months with volunteer hours.
Example:
By the end of October, Dakota had made $225 in recurring and one-off donations to the Benjamin Franklin Party and had put in volunteer hours on three different months. $225 YTD is Inventor tier and the three additional tiers for volunteer months brings Dakota up to a Patriot certificate level.
***Blue Frame Contribution Certificates
Once the Franklin tier is achieved through donations, volunteer months are added as degrees (blue certificates). The maximum possible certificate level each year is a 12-degree Franklin (Franklin XII).
